A Sort of Homecoming

Once upon a time there was a 40-year-old man who took to blogging. In his blog he would write blog postings which were sometimes sexual in nature. Not sexual in the ‘peddling porn’ style, but rather a sort of revealing look inside his head were his fetishes would do battle for attention. This man would be described as a fetishist. The word fetish derives from the French fétiche, which comes from the Poruguguese  feitiço (“spell”), which in turn derives from the Latin facticius (“artificial”) and facere (“to make”). A fetish is an object believed to have supernatural powers, or in particular, a man-made object that has power over others. Essentially, fetishism is the attribution of inherent value or powers to an object. Fétichisme was first used in an erotic context by Alfred Binet in 1887.

Now at 40 it was time to take a reflective look back at his life and in particular to explore his fetish. What was his fetish? Spanking! This mans fetish for spanking female ‘spankees’ (the word ‘spankee’ used to describe persons who have a fetish for receiving spankings). This fetish could be the the oldest fetish there is. Near Tarquinia in  Italy , The Tomb of Whipping as it is called, has a wall painting which dates back to 490BC, in this picture we could see two men flogging a woman for sexual pleasure. The fetish has become more mainstream in recent times with EL James 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy.

This man has returned to the blogosphere again today with this posting. Still learning and still searching for a better understanding of his fetish and how it can be enjoyed in his day-to-day life.
